Biggest Projects
The projects I invested most of my time and heart into are presented here. I have participated in quite a few events in my life, but here are the ones for which I decided to take initiative on my own.
“100 000 pas pour l’environnement” (100 000 steps for the environment) – 2022
This is a project I initiated in secondary 4 (in 2022) for which I received a sum of 500$ financial aid. Over 50 people came at the municipal library to pick up the detritus that were around the city park, known as “le Parc de la Cité”.
Prizes were then given to the winners who picked up the most trash and snacks were handed out. At the end, Affine Lwalalika, a Saint-Hubert’s city counselor, gave me a certificate of recognitionfor my efforts in the project (signed by the mayor Catherine Fournier).
Architectural maquette – 2023
The PP (personnal projet) is a part of the IB program in which we have to go throught an enriching project for our last year of high school. We have to do this in order to develop a skill set free of choice. Wanting to become an architect at the time, I decided to try to do a maquette or my parent’s compary building: Gora Comptabilité CPA inc. This maquette took me over 30 hours to complete on my own but teached me various useful skillsets.
ACTION GOUVERNANCE (project that was supported by Alliance Carrière Travail)
ACTION GOURVENANCE is a project I have recently taken part of this year. It won a large sum of 49 000$ by Caisse Desjardins.
Its goal was to support students in their understanding of business as well as politics. We have had various meetings and interesting conversations with experts from all over the region and I sat on a company’s board of directors to learn the legal procedure of these meetings. This project was also published in the news.

Sports and Activities
The Cadets
Cadets were a big part of my life before the pandemic. I was part of Cadet Plot 2710 (2018 up until 2020).
We went on various excursions (ex: Farnham Military base), outings (ex: ninja warrior) and organized plenty of activities (ex: sports with cadets, etc.)
It was an enriching experience that taught me leadership and discipline with a sprinkle of fun and excitement.
When the pandemic arrived, everything became online and it was harder for the plot to keep the cadets active. I then switched to other activities. Nontheless, my time with the cadets was an amazing experience that taught me plenty.
Strength Training
After this part of my life, cadets became really my main way of staying active. Unfortunately, the pandemic arrived and I was forced to now stay at home.
I then started multiple strength programs with an online trainer named Caroline Girvan.
I still train with her once in a while and I consider her workouts to be extremely challenging and interesting. I spent a total of 1 year and a half of consistently training with her program.
Competitive Swimming and Swimming Instructor
Swimming has always been a big part of my life. I was part of awimming competitions since I was 9 years old, throught Gatineau, Quebec, Montreal and many other places in the region. If I had continued, I had also high chances of going to France.
After having done competitive swimming for 5 years, it was my turn to share my knowledge… This is why I became an instructor myself.
Other Sports
- I also quite enjoy winter activities like ice skating (used to do it as a child, my sister persued her love for skating but I prefered to stick with swimming), skiing (regulary still practice it with my family), sledding, running outside and many others
- Going to be part of a marathon soon (in may)
